Take the Nature Challenge! (06-07-16)
Companies, schools and individuals across the United States are joining to take the 30 x 30 Nature Challenge. Why don’t you be one of them?
In most companies, employees are tied to their desks, their smart phones or the conference room. If they go outside at all during the day, it is a rush to car and back for a lunch break. Although calling it a break is rather comical since that smart phone is still within reach. If you are one of these people then you are a perfect candidate for the challenge.
Take 30 minutes a day in June, which has 30 days, and unplug while you enjoy nature. Spending time in nature can –
- Relieve stress
- Improve memory performance
- Enhance creativity
- Increases attention span
- Promote a healthy work-life balance
Instead of meeting in the conference room, leave the smart phones on your desk, take a piece of paper and a pen and have a walking meeting outside! Think about the sense of freedom and how the ideas will flow without the constant pinging of a text or email alert.
Listen to the birds.
Feel the breeze.
Breathe in the fresh air.
