Where is Your Insurance Focus? (04-11-16)
Whom did you go to when you first needed some type of insurance? It was probably your parents who then referred you to the person they’d been using for years. For young people this is one of the best ways to be introduced to the world of insurance. However, if you were that young person who allowed your insurance to go along as usual because it was easy, maybe it’s time you look around.
Insurance products are unique which is why there are so many of them. Not every product applies to every person or generation. While there are some you can pay every year and not think about unless it is to make updates, most products need to be reviewed as you age and as you make life changes.
Insurance carriers introduce new products or find a niche where they are more competitive, hence lower premiums for the client. Some carries find the need to stop offering certain products in order to focus their attention and expertise to another line of products.
Sometimes, you just need to make a change and start fresh.
Are you the price shopper that tends to choose the least expensive insurance you can find? While that might work when you are grocery shopping, it is not always the best method to use when you are looking to protect yourself, your family or your lifestyle.
Insurance isn’t a one and done aspect of your life. Your needs as a child, as a young adult, as an up and coming career person, as a family and as an empty nester are all varied and special to you and your circumstances. As you grow, your insurance needs grow with you including pruning those needs during stages of your life.
